Project Initiations: This is a beginning point of any project. In this activity, all the processes related to winning a project take place. Generally, the prime activity of this level is the pre-sale. During this pre-sale period, service provider proves the eligibility or ability to complete the projects for clients & eventually wins the business. Then, this is detailed requirements gathering which comes the next. At the time of requirements gathering process, all clients’ requirements are gathered and analyzed for implementation. In this process, negotiations might take place for changing the certain requirements and remove the certain requirements altogether.
Project Planning: The project planning is one of the prime project management processes. If a project management team gets this step incorrectly, there could be heavy negative consequences during the next levels of the projects. Therefore, a project management team will have to pay the detailed attention to this activity of the project. Once the project plan is derivative, then the project schedules are developed. It’s depending on schedule and budget; resources are then allocated for the project. This level is most vital level when it comes to project cost & effort.
Project Executions: After all, paperwork is completed, in this section, project management runs the project in order to achieve the project goals. When it comes to execution, each worker of the team carries out their own tasks within the given deadline for each process. The detailed project schedules will be used to track the project activity.
Control & Validation: At the time of project life cycle, project processes should be thoroughly controlled & validated. The controlling can be primarily done through adhering to initial rules such as project plans, quality assurance tests plan & communication plans for projects. Closeout & Evaluation: Once all project needs are achieved, it’s time to hand over implemented system & close out the projects. If project deliveries are in by with the acceptance criteria defined by the customer, the project will be duly accepted & paid through the user. Once the projects close out takes place, it’s time to evaluate the whole project. In this step, the issues made by the project team will be identified & will take essential steps for avoiding them in future projects.
